Charles discovered the magic world at the early age of eight and was quickly mesmerized. Soon he was performing at parties and social events and by age fifteen magic was his full time job.But acting has also played a huge part in shaping his creative career. Charles has been on stage since age five and performed in hundreds of theatrical productions. At ten years old he landed his first professional acting job when he was cast in a children's televison pilot.Although magic loomed large in his life it was acting that prompted his move to Los Angeles. He has appeared in several feature films, commercials and television shows including a principal role on General Hospital.Early in his career a bold decision to focus all his energies on a new magic concept paid off. His unique and theatrical approach to the art of magic led to the creation of two original illusions. Soon Charles became a regular performer at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood and a favorite featured performer in several other venues. He was further honored with a command performance at the prestigious Academy of Magical Arts Awards Show, often referred to as the "Oscars of Magic"Charles Arlington's magic has transported him to London, Singapore, South Africa, China, Blackpool and throughout the islands of Hawaii on extended tours. He has headlined in casinos and nightclubs and in several large-scale revue shows. He is also a regular performer on such cruise lines as Princess, Royal Caribbean and Holland America.Charles' creative mind is also sought after by his peers. He has taught magic and lectured to hundreds of magicians. He has also served as a technical advisor to other magicians such as: Shimada, Mark Wilson, and Doug Malloy to name a few. He has consulted on stage productions, television shows, feature films and on two separate scripts with Academy Award winner Ron Bass (Rainman, What Dreams May Come and Entrapment).His recent original creation"Card Cocktail"is sold internationally.Charles Arlington continues to challenge conventional artistic avenues and upon completing a small tour of what is referred to as the "Mexican Riviera" produced his very own show entitled "Magic In Swingtime". The show enjoyed a successful run at Masquer's Cabaret, an intimate supper club in the heart of Los Angeles.Charles has been featured in such industry magazines as Linking Ring, MUM, Genii and most recently MAGIC magazine.For the past four years Charles has portrayed the character of Buzz Maxwell in the phenomenon known as Triple Espresso, a three character broadway style show with original music and magic. The role utilized Charles' acting talents and magical skills and combined them into one character.
